Installation
Strongly recommended: have a professional mechanic perform the installation. Incorrect wiring or sealing can affect safety and compliance.
A) Rear Light Kit (with integrated indicators)
- Remove rear seat(s).
- Remove the original tail-light unit.
- Remove the fuel tank to access the rear indicator/plate-light connector located beneath the tank.
- Inline the harness: unplug the OEM rear indicator/plate-light connector under the tank and insert our wiring harness inline (between the OEM male/female plugs). This provides new indicator outputs for the rebuilt tail light.
- Reinstall the fuel tank.
- Install the new tail-light unit in the OEM mounts.
- Connect the main tail-light plug and the new indicator leads to the tail light.
- Test tail / brake / left & right indicators, then refit seats.
B) Optional Plate Repositioning Kit
- Remove the rear wheel to access the OEM plate-holder fasteners.
- Unplug the OEM plate-light wiring at the connector.
- Remove the three bolts that secure the OEM plate holder to the swingarm.
- Assemble the new repositioning kit per the supplied diagram.
- Connect the new plate-light lead to the OEM plate-light plug.
- Install the bracket to the swingarm and torque the three main bolts.
- Mount the plate (bolts or weatherproof double-sided tape for a cleaner look).
- Check plate-light function and indicator clearance, then reinstall the rear wheel.
PS: Torque the rear wheel to the factory-specified value (see Ducati service manual).
